Cassie grew up in Arizona and her obsession with dance began at a very young age when she began taking dance classes in performance pom, jazz and hip hop from a Phoenix Cardinals Cheerleader. Cassie soon begged her mom for more and she then signed up at a nearby studio and it never ended from there. While growing up, she competed with her high school dance team winning state championships and attended National competitions in California. She also had performance opportunities with local news companies as well as a patriotic routine at a Rattler’s Arena Football Game.
Cassie studied dance in college from 2002-2004, and during that time she was on the Dance Company at Paradise Valley Community College and the Hip Hop Squad at Phoenix College where she had many more performance opportunities such as a Phoenix Suns Basketball games and attending workshops in California.
Cassie met her husband and moved to Dillon, Montana in 2005 where she taught Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Creative Movement and Contemporary until 2012. She also coached the University of Montana Western Dance team from 2007-2009. She then moved to the Bozeman area in 2012 where she began teaching for Tanya’s Dance Co. in Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Pom and Ballroom. In addition to teaching at TDC, she has had the opportunity to teach hip hop at the Montana Dance Arts Association workshop and pom choreography for Great Falls College Dance Team.
Cassie is the Competition Program Managing Director for TDC and continues to grow her dance knowledge by attending teacher classes at competitions and using online programs to expand her teaching abilities with the newest addition being ballroom!
