Sloan started her dance journey at the age of 2 and began instruction at TDC in 2008. Her first styles were jazz and tap, but she soon added lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, clogging, and ballet to her skill set. By middle school, she was competing on the travel team and taking workshops locally and across the Northwest. Some of her most memorable classes were taken with Mike Minery, Jesse Johnson, and Will Bell. Sloan quickly took interest in choreography and began to create her own pieces ending her senior year with a self choreographed duo catching the judges eye for first place. She credits her successes to 16 years of instruction from the wonderful staff at TDC and has loved getting to inspire the next generation to be active and creative as instructor since 2023.
After graduating high school, Sloan moved to Salt Lake City to attend Paul Mitchell the School obtaining her barber and cosmetology license. She is currently a licensed stylist in town and has loved creating fresh cuts and color for the past 3 years. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their families!
